- Dr. Babar Awan meets Imran Khan in Islamabad
- Channel will also deal with and prevent problems emerging out of growing Islamophobia
- Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia will run the Channel
ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Dr. Babar Awan called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Tuesday wherein laws related to prevention of money laundering came under discussion.
The meeting also consulted over implementation on decisions taken in the PM recent visit to the USA while they also discussed a procedure to start joint TV channel by Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said that it is necessary to establish a TV channel bringing improvement to the image of Islam all around the world adding that a TV channel of international standard will be established for the prevention of problems faced by the Muslim Ummah which will also deal with and prevent problems emerging out of growing Islamophobia. The PM said that the incumbent government has stopped possible sources of money laundering adding that correctness and amendments in laws related to money laundering are a must while he added that effective diplomacy on the international level is also a must so that looted and plundered wealth of the third world country returned back to the country.
The meet-up also discussed the PM’s recent visit to America and the success gained at the diplomatic front. Baber Awan on the occasion congratulating the premier over his historic address to the United Nations General Assembly said that the world community showed seriousness over the PM speech while international media also highlighted the main points of the speech.-Agencies
