ISLAMABAD, November 7: An accountability court in Islamabad rejected on Thursday a plea against the auctioning of former finance minister Ishaq Dar s property in Lahore.
PML-N leader’s wife Tabassum had filed an application in the court requesting it not the auction Dar’s property in Gulberg Lahore, as it was her property. She had maintained that property was given to him as a gift but she could not provide proves of it.
During the proceeding, headed by accountability court judge Mohammad Bashir, her request was rejected after which the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will be auctioning the properties.
The former minister has been absconding court proceedings since 2017after bureau filed a corruption reference against him for owing assets beyond his known source of income On the other hand, Interpol rejected Pakistan’s request to issue a red warrant against the former minister and gave him a clean chit.
The Interpol has also directed its National Central Bureaus (NCBs) to delete all data files in their systems on Dar. It also urged NCBs to update their national databases accordingly and ensure that the same is done by all national entities that have access to Interpol information. -Agencies
