- Vows to hold looters, plunderers of national wealth accountable
HAVELIAN, November 18: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday said those who looted the country will be held accountable.
No one can buy me and I will not give NRO to anyone, PM Imran Khan said while addressing the groundbreaking of the Hazara Motorway Phase II in Havelian. He said the government will focus on spending more money on human development projects.
He said CPEC will be beneficial for Pakistan and it will bring economic prosperity in the country. He said China is providing technical training to our youth that will become our force to move on.
The Prime Minister hailed the performance of Highways Minister Murad Saeed. He said CPEC is not the name of a road; rather it is a new vision for development.
Imran Khan said youth are our biggest asset and their potential will be fully harnessed for national development. He said Pakistan is blessed with plenty of resources which are needed to be properly utilized.
Imran Khan said the government is working hard to transform the economic situation of the country. He said we have waived off the
duty on all hospital equipment and machinery to encourage investments into hospitals and healthcare. He said Health Insaaf Cards provided by the government will help the poor receive quality medical care free of cost.
He said we are focusing on agriculture and industry to bring prosperity in the country by providing job opportunities to the youth.
Imran Khan said the housing project started by government will facilitate forty allied industries, creating a number of employment opportunities. He said five million houses will be constructed in five years tenure of the incumbent government. Referring to political situation, he said those who came to hold protest in Islamabad could not stay for a few days as they had no objective. On the other hand, he said, his party held a sit-in in Islamabad for 126 days, as it had a clear objective and mission. Imran Khan said that a circus was played on the container at Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) sit-in in Islamabad and all the opposition leaders including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif were present there to save their corruption.
Imran Khan said leaders of PML-N and PPP also made speeches at the container of JUI-F as they had their vested interests that they wanted to protect. He said their protest was aimed at diverting the attention from the crucial issue of Kashmir. Even media was showing the circus whose only purpose is to raise a hue and cry to get relief in corruption cases, he said and termed the act as blackmailing. He said the selling of religion is the biggest sin. – NNI
