Zendaya-coleman-vcloseupSinger-actress Zendaya Coleman has reportedly landed a role in the new “Spider-Man” reboot.
British actor Tom Holland was revealed as Andrew Garfield’s replacement in the superhero franchise in June last year, reported Deadline.
Jon Watts is directing the film and he has reportedly cast Zendaya as a character named Michelle.
Further details about Zendaya’s role have not been revealed and it is unclear if she will play Holland’s romantic interest or sidekick in the project.
Holland will make his debut as Peter Parker and his alter-ego in “Captain America: Civil War” in May, before his stand-alone “Spider-Man” reboot is released in 2017. He was cast as the web-slinging superhero last June, after studio bosses at Sony Pictures decided to ditch plans to continue with Garfield as the comic book character in further follow-ups to 2012’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” and its sequel, and start the movies again. – MD
