Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to train the pitch curators across the country by bringing foreign curators to Pakistan and give them lectures. According to sources, after the heavy defeats in Australia and South Africa, PCB has taken this decision to prevent the difficulties faced by national players when they visit abroad.
Next month, foreign curators will conduct training courses for Pakistani curators and caretakers of all Test center pitches will be informed about the preparation of international standard pitches. PCB will review the pitches of Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad stadium. Pitches soil, base, and other issues will also be reviewed. Board has finalized the matters with expert curators from England, South Africa, and Australia. Foreign curators will inform local curators about producing different quality pitches. English curator Andy Anchiston will give lectures.
It must be noted that Pakistan men’s team lost badly in the Test series against South Africa and Australia this year.
