Azam Swati has said something which he should not have said as it might touch off an unnecessary debate in the media thus further polluting the already polluted political atmosphere of the country and creating unnecessarily an unwarranted controversy. What was the big deal in saying that the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Saqib Nisar wanted to show Imran Khan that his chair was the biggest in the country? A clever foe is better than a stupid friend. The prime minister had better restrain some of his cabinet ministers from opening their mouth as they more often than not put their foot into it.
The judges of the superior courts may also avoid making remarks while listening to the cases in the courts as more often than not their observations are misconstrued .It is said that they should speak only through their written verdicts.
A high-powered delegation has gone to the U.S to apprise the World bank about India’ Water aggression against Pakistan. Let us hope its meeting with the World Bank would not prove to be an exercise in futility as up till now so many such meetings have been held on the subject without giving any fruitful result.
