It is now more than four months that Kashmir has been battling against the worst curfew and communication blackout of its history. Despite criticism from all across the world, BJP regime feels no pressure or shame in continuing the unprecedentedly naked mass violation of human rights . Stories projecting the miseries of Kashmiri population are appearing in well reputed international papers . Congress leader P Chidumbrum very rightly pointed out that India has practically lost the Kashmir, primarily due to inhuman conduct with the local stakeholders. While the Kashmir issue is turning complex with every passing day, the controversial legislation on citizenship issue surfaced with sufficient stuff to ignite the sentiments of the Muslim population of India. Country wide protests have shaken the Modi government but still hoping for a positive change in BJP’s hard stance will be foolish. Violence against protesting students and high handedness of Police in Muslim residential areas of UP are the real indicators of BJP’s future intentions. With trigger happy leaders like Modi, Amit Shah and Yogi on helm of affairs , a country like India can only role down rapidly on the slope of self-destruction and hatred. Indian opposition parties have also got a golden chance to target the BJP by diverting the protest, over controversial legislation, in their favor. That’s how the game of politics is played . A party like Congress, having hands soaked in the blood of Sikhs and Kashmiris, is now crying for the rights of Muslim community in the name of secularism. It should not be forgotten that congress was the actual architect of Kashmir issue. Babri Mosque was destroyed by the fanatic Hindus in Congress era . Catastrophe of Golden Temple attack was also crafted by the Congress. Despite a black track record towards the Muslims and other minorities, Congress is now actively striving to bag the sympathies of the Muslims by criticizing upon Modi Sarkar. Though, the mask was always there, but India has never been a secular or peace loving country. Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah , after realizing the Hindu majoritarian mindset, rejected the Indian secularism wrapped in Gandhi’s Non-violence . BJP under Modi’s premiership has thoroughly removed the double wrapper of Secularism and Non-violence from lethal weapon of Hindutva . No one can deny that sane quarters of India are there to criticize the Modi Sarkar. However, one should not be misled with such protests as BJP cult is not in a mood to pay any heed to sane but weaker voices. Fact is undeniable that sane protestors, either Muslims or non- Muslims , have no say in decision making quartersof India. RSS and BJP have their roots in society ! To counter the pressure of protest against citizenship legislation , RSS has brought public rallies in support of the government acts. RSS supporters are capable enough to commit violence against the opponents and their zeal turns furious , if the Muslims are on the opposite side. Violence and torture in prominent universities like JNU and Jamia Millia should be taken as tip of the ice burg. BJP can cross many limits to secure its political ascendency which primarily rests upon the support of extremist quarters of society. Rise in protests and growing internal disorder can push Modi to seek a refuge in anti – Pakistan rhetoric. This is a tested remedy in India to shroud failures and blunders by blaming Pakistan . Any one found criticizing the Modi Sarkar would be labelled as agent of Pakistan or a traitor. Decades long atrocities in Kashmir have been justified by blaming Pakistan for sponsoring cross border terrorism. BJP cult has no idea that suppressing millions of the minorities, especially the Muslims, will not be a sustainable option. Retaliatory response from affected quarters of society may jeopardize the state affairs in the longer run. Sheer absence of political dialogue coupled with violent show down of prejudiced RSS’cults will logically give rise to retaliatory tendencies in marginalized segments of the society. Frequent harsh threatening statements about Pakistan from Indian ministers and army chief provide an alarming insight of unwise mindset prevailing in power corridors of New Dehli. It now seems like a writing on the wall that BJP stalwarts and hate mongers will not hesitate for a single moment in waging a war on Pakistan to suppress the internal fissures .There should be sufficient deliberation in the parliament and defence committee of the cabinet to deal with any future misadventure of Modia Sarkar.
