ISLAMABAD, January 13: The federal government on Monday decided to put the name of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the Exit Control List (ECL) in Chaudhry sugar mills case.
According to a private TV channel sources, the federal cabinet’s sub-committee has decided to place Maryam Nawaz’s name on ECL after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had recommended putting the PML-N leader on ECL.
This recommendation was made in a letter penned by the NAB Lahore to the Interior Ministry to place Maryam’s name on the ECL in Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. According to details, the anti-graft watchdog maintained that investigations against the PML-N leader are ongoing in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case and her name should be put on the ECL to eliminate the possibility of her going abroad. – Sabah
