By instigating central Asian countries to provide sanctuary to the Uighur Muslim Mavericks, the American foreign secretary had, in fact, tried to fish in the troubled waters in China. What else was his statement in this connection, during the course of his visit to the western Asian countries a few days back , if not an outright intervention in the internal affairs of China.
One is surprised at the audacity of the Americans in the matter. Since when have they become so well wishers of the Muslims?Are the Muslims so naive and gullible that they don’t remember Washington’s atrocities on the Muslims in Iraq?Can the Muslims shut their eyes to the excesses being committed by the Yankees on the Afghan muslims in Afghanistan?Had they been sincere with the Afghan Muslims they would not have left them in the lurch after the Soviet forces withdrew from the soil of Afghanistan . They could have given a developmental plan for rebuilding the broken infrastructure of Afghanistan during the war against Soviet forces on the pattern of the one given by them in the shape of Marshal plan for the redevelopment of Europe after the second world war.
The fact of the matter is that the Americans had thought that after the dismemberment of the Soviet Union they alone would rule the world. Little did they realise then that a new super power in the shape of People’s Republic of China is coming up which will bare its teeth to them and end their dream of a unipolar world ruled by them alone. The Americans now want to sow the seeds of discord among the various nationalities living in China in their bid to break China also.
