It is obvious that Modi led BJP government is rapidly losing its nerves over rapidly worsening situation of Occupied Kashmir. Misadventure of Kashmir’s division in three union territories is now turning unmanageable. Second guided tour of EU parliamentarians in IOK is another blow to already lost credibility of New Dehli. Guided tours primarily aim at countering upcoming voting in EU about highly unsatisfactory state of human rights amid prolonged lockdown and communication black out. With two such ex CMs in arrest who happened to be loyal puppets of New Dehli, how Modi Sarkar can afford to allow a free or unguided tour to European diplomats , parliamentarians and journalists. It is about time and the world has started realizing the inhuman tactics of India . While it is taken as a routine matter that Pakistan traditionally protests over HR violations in IOK , but what has recently surfaced from EU on this account is not a usual development. In the past as well, more than 50 parliamentarians of EU signed a letter, addressed directly to PM Modi , urging state of India to stop the worst HR violations against innocent Kashmiri masses. It was explicitly pointed out that merciless use of lethal pellet shot guns are blinding and killing the unarmed innocent civilians including infant aging 19 months whose case reported by BBC was referred by theEU MPs .
This situation can be rightly termed as a big blot on the forehead of Indian state as it clearly spells out that laws like AFSPA-1990 and PSA-1978 exclusively implemented in IOK are in clear contradiction to international human rights standards.EU parliamentarians have been urging Indian government to immediately mend the ways by stopping the inhuman atrocities in IOK .It will not be an exaggeration if Occupied Kashmir is termed as one of the worst parts of the world on account of human rights violation. It is a land governed by bunch of rulers sitting in New Dehli with no empathy for the oppressed masses of Kashmir. It is a unique case of human rights violation in which so called democratic state of India loudly announces her false claim over Kashmir and simultaneously crushes the innocent citizens through merciless application of brutal force. When it comes to regional affairs, one finds a strange and obvious cunningness overtaking every move of India but an additional element of ruthlessness always dominates the state actions if it has to deal with the Muslims. Kashmir is the place where the depth of Indian extremism can be rightly measured merely on account of human rights violation . Unlike many other parts of the world, Indian extremism has deep roots in the society and state has adopted anti muslim hatred as an essential part of its policy.
India as a state, draws strength out of this hatred and pursues a highly destructive strategy against Pakistan. 1947 Partition took place as result of an irreversible sense of insecurity and fear among the muslims. Who doesn’t know that the muslims had a genuine fear of extremist Hindu mindset. Indian atrocities in Kashmir have proved that the fear in the past was neither incorrect nor an exaggeration. A call for freedom by Kashmiris serves like a fuel on the fire. How, India can bear a cry for freedom once she has not yet accepted the existence of Pakistan till today. Brutalities against Kashmiris are the true reflection of deep rooted anti muslim sentiments. In this age of fast communication, Kashmiris have no access to regular media facilities. It is not difficult to understand that why this all is happening in Kashmir. India can not afford a slightest exposure of her extremist face to the world.
Hundreds of eyes turned blind with the pallet guns. Illegal detentions converted the brides into half widows. Innocent unarmed citizens being killed and mutilated publicly.. There are big question marks on the conduct and response of UNO. This forum has lost the credibility for most of the oppressed Muslim world in real sense primarily due to biased response on Palestine and Kashmir issues. On one hand, India is actively sponsoring terrorism against Pakistan from Afghan land. On the other hand, atrocities in Kashmir and cease fire violations on LOC are increasing with every day. These are very dangerous signs for regional peace. World conscious is put on a bitter test on account of Indian inhuman conduct in Kashmir. These are tough testing times for Kashmiris. Our Political leadership has to shoulder the fragile responsibility by giving a clear policy direction. Past rulers had nothing positive to offer on this account. Rapid loss of cohesion and sudden rise in mistrust among important state offices was the most undesired irritant at national canvas. Apparently , it is not the case any more in Islamabad as proved in post Pulwama attack scenario which was escalated by India to the level of an unannounced war .
There are many serious unsettled issues between India and Pakistan which deserve deliberation by decision making quarters. Kashmir is definitely on top of those issues. While striving for bi-lateral peace, side by side, Pakistan should continue exposing the worst side of Indian face by pleading the case of occupied Kashmir on account of human rights violations in the hands of none other than the state institutions. Pakistan should vigorously expose the real intent and malicious optics attached with guided tours of IOK.
