It can be easily assessed that any reference to Kashmir haunts India to an extent where New Delhi forgets to abide by the universally acknowledged diplomatic norms. Arrogant response to mediation offer from Turkish President and unprecedented lecturing to UN Secretary General about the status of Kashmir are the two most relevant recent examples of Indian madness about word ‘K’. Indian foreign office’s extra itch over recent joint Pak- China statement about Kashmir during President ArifAlvi’s visit is nothing but the replay of traditional madness. However, there isa method in this violent Indian madness. No one can deny this open fact that India is desperately leering upon AJ&K. Anybody in doubt should revisit the multiple threatening statements from top Indian officials which include PM, senior cabinet ministers, services chiefs and RSS’ influential ideologues. Dangerous Indian acceleration in Occupied Kashmir cannot be de-linked from existing regional developments. Approximately, five years back India unfolded its dangerous response towards CPEC! It was none other than late foreign minister SushmaSwaraj who furiously objected upon CPEC by falsely claiming that mega project was being developed through Indian territory presently under illegal control of Pakistan. Unfortunately, due response on diplomatic front could not be delivered from Pak side in those days. Ruling elite led by then PM , who happened to be the foreign minister as well, was all busy in taking the credit of initiation of CPEC while having no time to assess the quantum of threat emerging from Indian side. What SushmaSwaraj said five years back, has been re-uttered now by Indian foreign office while objecting upon Pak-China joint statement. It is obvious that India, with understandable US’ blessing, cannot digest development of CPEC. Terrorism in Balochistan, frequent CFVs at LoC and covert meddling in GB coupled with false claims on complete Kashmir areall aimed at disrupting the CPEC at start and finish points. Before bringing the region at the verge of a war between two nuclear states through unwise Balakot misadventure, India has been persistently targeting Pakistan on diplomatic front. Allegations of cross border terrorism were frequently proliferated to shroud the real plight of Kashmiri masses from the world. Inhuman atrocities were justified by falsely portraying Kashmir unrest as an outcome of Pak sponsored terrorism. Eventually, BJP’s uncontrollable urge to annihilate the Muslims has exposed the real face of Indian state. Chain of disclosures started amid revocation of Article-370 which led to the worst lockdown of IHK and vertex so far is the controversial legislation on citizenship which is entirely aimed at targeting the Muslims. Country wide protest against CAA and worldwide condemnations heavily provoked BJP activists towards furious display of majoritarian power in the form of violence. Present government of Pakistan especially PM deserves appreciation for exposing Indian atrocities and fascism of RSS’ cult all over the world. PM Imran Khan’s maiden UNGA address and effective advocacy of oppressed Kashmiri masses still echoes in international community. It is a bitter fact that Pakistan started diplomatic chasing of India after a long damaging pause. Unfortunately , past regime of PML-N kept pursuing a different set of diplomatic priorities. Kashmir cause had a different meaning in those days! Recent disclosures by ex FO official Tasneem Aslam regarding Ex PM’s instructions to refrain from anti-India statements and any kind of intimation or reference to Khal BhoshanJhadev requires no rocket science to comprehend . At a critical stage of Kashmiri freedom movement , Pakistan’s top executive office suddenly adopted a policy line entirely suiting to arch rival enemy. Party leaders are now denying the allegations through usual verbal cannonade just to prove their loyalties with political master . Few believe that PM , being an elected representative of the public, has a right to alter the foreign policy . Having no objection upon PM’s right over national policies , one must not forget that an elected leader always remains answerable to the public . His all actions , policy alterations and decisions always remain liable to criticism , dissent and open debate. It is an undeniable fact that diplomatic restraint and mysterious inaction during past government seriously affected Pakistan’s standing and image in international community. Country is still struggling hard to coup up with diplomatic deficiencies on Kashmir issue, Afghan front and FATF forum. Another senior ex diplomat Mr Abdul Basit has also endorsed the point of view of Miss Tasneem Aslam . Opinion of both ex diplomats are based upon personal experiences and observations. Moreover , public and unbiased media has been anxiously watching mysterious diplomatic inaction in those troubling times. Sane minds in PML-N ranks and files should take a serious view of these allegations . As a nation , we should be more concerned about pursuance of collective objectives rather than defence of party leaders. Present ruling lot should also lay special focus on diplomatic front by making all out efforts to avoid recurrence of past follies. Only a well thought out diplomatic offensive can enable Pakistan in countering the Indian onslaught.
