Lenin had once said there are decades where nothing happens and there are weeks where decades happen. Who could have thought till the other day that in such a short span of time the deadly coronavirus will upset the applecart of the entire world.
Trump was rightly labelled as a racist by a section of the press after he billed coronavirus as China virus. It has been noticed that the words which he more often not, uses against China in his speeches reflect his anti_Chinabias. It goes without saying that after dismembering Soviet Union, high on the list of priorities of the US is to put China into trouble. Washington has found a willing partner in India for the achievement of this objective. New Delhi wants America ‘s unstinted support on Kashmir issue as a quid pro quo which the latter is more than willing to provide. Hence the criminal silence of America over the Indian atrocities on the hapless Kashmiris in the Indian held Kashmir.
It is in the evidence that New Delhi also doesn’t want success of the agreement between the Taliban and the US as it doesn’t fit into its scheme of things in Afghanistan because it knows that once the influence of the political element like Ashraf Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah and their like inside Afghanistan is finished, it won’t be easy for it to use the Afghan soil as a launching pad for carrying out subversive activities inside Pakistan. Both New Delhi and Washington have been playing a very dangerous game inside Afghanistan as well as against China which has the potentiality of triggering off the third world war.
POSTSCRIPT: It has been an extended winter this year. Normally, in this part of the globe spring sets in after 16th February every year. This hasn’t happened this year round.
