- Curfew in Kyrgyz capital will be reduced by two hours, says commandant
Deputies of the Kyrgyz Parliament approved a decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic on the extension of the state of emergency in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Nookat, Kara-Suu and Suzak regions until April 30. The relevant resolution was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh.
Earlier, the state of emergency was introduced in these cities and areas from March 25 to April 15.
The Jogorku Kenesh also approved the draft resolution on the introduction of a state of emergency on the territory of Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn oblast.
Yesterday, April 14, President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov signed a Decree “On the introduction of a state of emergency in Naryn town and At-Bashy region of Naryn oblast.
To-date, the number of COVID-19 cases in Kyrgyzstan totals 449, of which 98 cases are medical personnel. 78 citizens were cured and discharged from hospitals. Five have passed away.
Speaking today in the parliament, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov said the peak incidence would be in the second half of April.
