ISLAMABAD, December 12: Pakistan Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Director General Major General Ghulam Shabbir Narejo made a trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart to enhance bilateral cooperation.
DG ANF along with his delegation arrived in Tehran from Islamabad Airport on Sunday at the invitation of Chief of Iran’s Anti-Narcotics Police Brigadier-General Majid Karimi.
He is expected to meet senior Iranian officials especially his Iranian counterpart Brigadier-General Majid Karimi. During meetings the two sides would discuss fight against illicit drug trafficking and border cooperation.
It is pertinent to mention that Brigadier-General Karimi paid an official visit to Pakistan in January this year. During the visit, he met with DG ANF and Minister for Narcotics Control.
He also visited the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta to meet the Regional Director of ANF.-PR
