ISLAMABAD, December 13: During legal proceedings against unregistered vehicles plying on motorways and highways and vehicles using illegal registration number plates and to facilitate the general public the Inspector General Inam Ghani has taken very serious steps.On the directions of IG NHMP the Deputy Inspector General Operations National Highways and Motorways PoliceMazhar-ul-Haq Kakakhel immediately contacted Director Registration Department Excise Islamabad Bilal Azam, Director Registration Department Excise Lahore Qamar Ehsan and Director Registration Department Excise Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for said query of public in which they complained about delay of registration on which they said that the registration process of vehicles usually completed in a single day. NHMP will do the best for the facilitation of our commuters that’s why it was decided to be in close liaison with excise department .Therefore, in order to avoid any legal action, difficulty, hassle and travel on motorways, the people should get their vehicles registered from the relevant excise department offices today and use registered number plates issued by the relevant excise offices on their vehicles. On the special instructions of Inspector General Inam Ghani, the National Highways and Motorways Police has banned the entry of unregistered vehicles on the motorways. In addition, in the light of the orders of the judiciary entry of without M-tag vehicles on motorways is prohibited.-PR
