President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the family polyclinic No. 7 of Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent city.
The last time a major overhaul in this institution was carried out in 1991, current repairs – in 2018. The polyclinic is designed to provide care to 250 patients a day, at present it serves 41 thousand residents of 8 makhallas. There are departments of physiotherapy, functional diagnostics, a central clinical laboratory, endoscopy, X-ray and ultrasound examination rooms.
Today, the staff examined 93 percent of the residents assigned to the polyclinic, identified measures to improve the health of 5,518 citizens.
The head of state instructed to overhaul the clinic in accordance with modern requirements, to create all the amenities for the population. The need to update obsolete equipment for diagnostics is indicated.
– It is necessary to introduce a new experience that combines outpatient and inpatient care. It is necessary to form healthy competition between family polyclinics and other medical organizations by moving to a system of high-quality and affordable services for the population, the President noted.
