Imran Khan urges govt to help calamity-hit South Punjab farmers

Imran KhanISLAMABAD, March 12: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Saturday called for the government to compensate calamity-hit farmers of South Punjab region.
In a message on social media, Khan said that farmers in Punjab’s southern belt were badly affected by a massive hailstorm.
“The federal and Punjab governments should, on emergency basis, do survey of massive crop damage in South Punjab by hailstorm today,” he demanded.
“We stand with our farmers in their hour of need and ask government to compensate them and give calamity area tax remissions according to law,” he added. -Online
