KARACHI, March 12: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM), designate-mayor for Karachi, Wasim Akhtar on Saturday said the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)-led Sindh government was not extending cooperation in connection with his party’s ongoing cleanliness drive for the metropolis. Talking to media persons while inspecting the cleanliness work at Nagan Chowrangi here, Wasim Akhtar said only a few DMCs had cooperated in the ongoing campaign, vowing to fulfill the responsibility they were entrusted with by the people. He called on the political parties to provide their vehicles for the ‘Clean Karachi’ drive, no matter if their vehicles come with flags of their party. Wasim Akhtar also called for the founder of ‘Fix It’ drive, Alamgir Khan, political party and the Chief Minister of Sindh to cooperate in the ‘Clean Karachi’ campaign.-Agencies
