Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov, within the framework of the Tashkent Youth Forum – 2021, met with young people, where he spoke about projects and work done in the field of tourism.
At the beginning of his speech, the minister shared an important event for Uzbekistan – the inclusion of the art of bakhshi in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of mankind. A special video was shown showing the history of the development of bakhshi art on the territory of Uzbekistan.
In his speech, the minister stressed his readiness to work with young people on their promising projects in the fields of tourism, sports, culture and ecology. He urged young people to be more active, including in matters of environmental protection, and drew attention to the topic of ecology, where he spoke about the impact of the Aral Sea tragedy on people’s lives, a series of sports marathons held in the country, one of which was dedicated to the Aral Sea. Videos of such events as the Sky Camp Bo’stonliq, the adoption of a resolution on the status of the Aral Sea region, the clip “Tomorrow” dedicated to the Aral Sea and the dream of thousands of residents that someday water will return, were shown.
Holding mass and large-scale sports competitions, according to Aziz Abdukhakimov, can inspire young people to maintain a healthy lifestyle and pay more attention to sports.
After their speech, the youth asked questions on such topics as the restoration of cultural heritage sites, the development of tourism infrastructure, what work is being done in the capital for the development of tourism, about the benefits provided in the construction of accommodation for tourists and others. The participants also shared their suggestions and one of the participants suggested creating a special tourism program for foreign and local tourists with disabilities.
