TANDO ALLAH YAR, December 23: Emphasizing that the time had come to send the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government home, former president and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday announced he was going to launch a protest campaign against the government, and for that Lahore would be his base camp. Addressing an event at Tando Allah Yar in Sindh, he said that PPP had always worked for the people’s welfare. Zardari said of course there were some issues between the Sindh government and the federal government, and these issues would persist.
“For the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB), resolution of people’s problems had always been a top priority,” he recalled. The former president said it was the time to counter the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led federal government. He said he would challenge the PTI government by staying in Islamabad and Lahore.
Zardari said the PPP-led Sindh government and the federation had some thorny issues that would persist in the future. He further said that they will continue to serve the masses under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto.
Referring to the death of one of his cousins, former president said today he was in great pain because he had lost one of his child playmates. – DNA
