KARACHI, January 2: Federal Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad has said that since Shehbaz Sharif was a guarantor on the bond promising Nawaz Sharif’s return from abroad so the government will file a case against him and his elder brother.
He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan instructed the attorney general to adopt a legal course for PML-N supremo Nawaz’s return. He said Shehbaz had submitted a declaration giving a guarantee that his brother would return back and face charges after getting his medical treatment in the UK.
Fawad said though Nawaz was no longer suffering from any health conditions, yet he was not coming back. Then it is justified that the government will take action against the guarantor, Shehbaz, for submitting a false declaration.
He was talking to media outside the residence of PTI MNA Alamgir Khan in Karachi where he came to condole the death of his father on Sunday.
“Shehbaz Sharif submitted an affidavit regarding his brother’s return and now Nawaz Sharif is not returning to Pakistan,” he said adding that action would be initiated against the opposition leader over submitting a fake affidavit.
The minister divulged that the Supplementary Financial Bill, 2021 commonly known as the mini-budget would be approved by the Parliament
between Jan 15-20. He touted that the government had the support of all the allies and the PTI itself was united too. He said no ally had raised any objection on the mini-budget. On rising inflation in the country, Fawad said it was due to the price hike in the international market. He was of the view that Pakistan was selling the most inexpensive Urea when compared to its price in the global market.
Fawad Ch said that the facility of Sehat Card had been launched in the entire Lahore division, adding that in the next 45 days all families in Punjab would be eligible to get medical treatment with a ceiling of Rs1 million.
“With this revolutionary step, the people can minus the health expenditures from their budget as the government is bearing all these expenditures,” the minister said.
Fawad said that economic stability is returning to Pakistan due to prudent economic policies of the government. He said the government is paying special attention to the agriculture sector and record production has been achieved in five crops.
