ISLAMABAD, January 11: IESCO’s power distribution system was badly affected due to recent snowfall and stormy weather in and around Murree, NathiaGali, Patriata, JhikaGali As a result, 15 feeders from 132 KV grid station Murree and 3 feeders supplying power to IESCO from 132 KV grid station Minhasa were disrupted. Under the supervision of IESCO Chief Executive Dr Muhammad Amjad Khan, teams from Operations, GSO and Construction Directorate started work on time to restore the system in spite of bad weather and traffic jams.Chief Engineer Operations Muhammad Aslam Khan, SE Islamabad Muhammad Sarwar, Project Director Construction Ejaz Ahmad Makhdoom, XEN Bhara Kahu Noman, concerned SDOs and staff remained in the field until the rehabilitation operation. At present, IESCO’s Power Distribution System has been 90% restored due to which Barian, Upper Topa, Patriata, Kohala, Sunny Bank, Public Health, MCM, Guldana, Company Bagh, Pindi Point, Gharial, Barut, Gharial-2 and Nimblefeeders and surrounding areas has been restored. The performance of IESCO officers and staff in completing the power restoration on time despite heavy snowfall and road closures is being appreciated at every forumwho put the interests of consumers first in this hour of calamity and have always maintained themselves as front line workers.
