RAWALPINDI, March 14: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday emphasized the need to consolidate gains of military operations for long-term stability.
“As we move towards the conclusion of large scale “kinetic” operations in FATA, there is need to look ahead and consolidate gains for long term stability,” General Sharif said, according to DG ISPR Asim Bajwa.
The army chief, who presided over the Corps Commanders Conference, stressed the escalated pace of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across the country to eliminate the entire terrorism infrastructure in Pakistan.
The army chief directed more efficient border management and continued dominance of cleared areas to maintain the writ of state.
“TDPs’ return must complete as per laid down time line,” he added.-Online
