Afghanistan will soon sign seven agreements on the TAPI project with TAPI project partners, the TOLOnews television network reported on Tuesday with reference to the officials at the Afghan Foreign Ministry. Based on data of the Foreign Ministry, there are sixteen documents for the implementation of the TAPI project, nine of which were signed by the previous government, the TOLOnews said. Waliullah Shaheen, the Director of Strategic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that Turkmenistan will pay Afghanistan’s share for the TAPI project on loan. “We have agreed with Turkmenistan that it will lend to Afghanistan the expenses to pay and Afghanistan will pay it back from the revenues of this project in the future,” Waliullah Shaheen said. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance of Afghanistan said the budget for the new fiscal year of the country will include allocation of funds for the TAPI project.
