Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan Kairat Osmonaliev met with the President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Efendieva, within the framework of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Osmonaliev recalled that over the past years, in the course of cooperation between the Foundation and Kyrgyzstan, which is one of the founding states of the organization, meetings were held at various levels and projects aimed at promoting the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan were implemented.
“Thus, the Foundation organized a solemn event in Azerbaijan dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding writer Chingiz Aitmatov, as well as a performance based on the story of the writer Jamilya in the Kyrgyz language,” Osmonaliev said.
For multifaceted activities to promote at the international level both the heritage of Chingiz Aitmatov and the rich culture of Kyrgyzstan and the entire Turkic world as a whole, the ambassador presented Gunay Efendieva the medal of the great writer of Kyrgyzstan and the entire Turkic world, Chingiz Aitmatov.
Also, the ambassador of Kyrgyzstan presented the organization’s library books on the culture, history and traditions of Kyrgyzstan, and an ancient Kyrgyz musical instrument – komuz to the museum.
The sides discussed topical issues and areas of cooperation, joint events of the embassy and the Foundation, other events that will also be discussed with Kyrgyz partners during the planned visit of the president of the Foundation to Kyrgyzstan in early spring of this year.
