Now people entering Uzbekistan must take a PCR test and be in strict quarantine for 14 days, KunUz reported.
“Currently, medical workers are on duty around the clock at the “Patar”, “Fotehabad”, “Sarazm” border crossings, as well as at Khujand International Airport,” deputy head of the Sughd Sanitary and Epidemiological Service Mejnun Oripov told Sputnik. Previously, it was reported that the Uzbek authorities have introduced new requirements for entering the country. Measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the new omicron strain of coronavirus infection in the republic.
In addition, from January 15 of this year, temporarily the government suspended crossing the state border of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the Republic of Kazakhstan by citizens of the two countries.
