This year, Kyrgyzstan and Iran will hold a number of joint events in honor of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
The Kyrgyz Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran, together with the Iranian National Innovation Fund in Tehran, organized the event “Cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Iran in the field of innovation and modern technologies.”
As part of the event, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Iran Turdakun Sydykov informed the business community of Iran about the investment climate of the Kyrgyz Republic and held a presentation of 50 promising investment projects in the fields of hydropower, agriculture, industry, infrastructure and tourism.
The Kyrgyz ambassador called on Iranian entrepreneurs to create joint innovative industrial enterprises using modern high technologies in the territory of Kyrgyzstan in order to sell finished products in the markets of the EAEU, CIS, EU (under the GSP+ status) and the WTO.
The attention of Iranian businessmen was attracted by the liberal legislation of Kyrgyzstan on the procedure for opening a company, tax, currency regimes and the activities of free economic zones.
Sydykov also met with Kyrgyz entrepreneurs who arrived in Tehran to get acquainted with the experience and activities of Iranian industrial companies. He also expressed readiness of the Kyrgyz Embassy to provide all possible assistance in establishing direct contacts between businessmen of the two countries.
Following the meetings and negotiations, the sides reached an agreement to hold business forums, exhibitions and fairs in 2022, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
