ISLAMABAD, January 20: Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday that the PML-N’s history of putting pressure on judiciary is in front of everyone. A meeting of government spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan. During the meeting, the PM was apprised of the growth rate of economic growth. The latest reports from The Economist and Bloomberg were presented during the meeting, while a briefing on the Rana Shamim case in Islamabad High Court was also given in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Imran Khan said that there was an attempt in the past to take arbitrary decisions by putting pressure on the judges, adding that a certain mafia is trying to put pressure on the judiciary, all of them are trying to influence the courts. Imran Khan has stated that the government is working for the betterment of public welfare and not for personal gain. Under the presidency of PM, a review meeting was held on the progress report of Ravi urban development and Central Business District project. “Ravi urban development and Central Business District projects are important for the country. The government is working for the welfare of public and not for personal gain. These projects are necessary to reduce congestion and pollution in Lahore,” stated the PM. He further said that, “Action will be taken against the officials responsible for not completing the targets of the project on time. – NNI
