KARACHI, March 15: At least four terrorists were killed on Tuesday in a Rangers search operation who were plotting for terrorism in Manghopir area of Karachi meanwhile one terrorist has been arrested from Qauidabad area of city.
According to Sindh Rangers representative, Rangers conducted operation on a secret tip off in Sultanabad area of Manghopir. The terrorists opened fire on the sight of Rangers. In response to the firing, the Rangers surrendered the area and killed four terrorists. Two Rangers personals also were injured in clash.
The representative also informed that the slain terrorists were plotting for terrorism in the city. The terrorists belonged to a banned organization. Explosives and heavy arms were also exposed from the site of operation.
On other hand one terrorist has been arrested from Qauidabad area, who was providing the information to other terrorists. According to the sources well educated terrorist is an employee of a private company. Security forces have shifted the terrorist to un-identified place for further probe.
Meantime, at least 29 suspected people were rounded up during a search operation in Baloch Colony.
According to security sources, police received a tip-off regarding the presence of criminals in Baloch Colony. Terrorists are currently being interrogated.
Police conducted raid on Shisha cafes in Clifton and Defence areas and arrested two persons.-Sabah
