A delegation from the Turkmen Ministry of Energy arrived in Kabul to expedite the legal and technical work of power supply projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) power transmission project, the Afghan energy company Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) said in its Monday press release.
In a meeting with Turkmen delegation at DABS headquarters, the Afghan power utility’s CEO Hafiz Mohammad Amin said Turkmenistan is a good partner of the company in electricity projects.
Moreover, Amin expressed hope that the creation of a joint roadmap will accelerate the work of power projects, in particular the new Afghan power substation and the TAP project.

Myrat Artykov, Head of Turkmen Energy Ministry’s International Electricity Projects Department in the TAP direction, said the purpose of his visit is to strengthen the relationship between the Turkmen Energy Ministry and DABS. He added that in close coordination and cooperation with DABS, the work on the new substation project, TAP and Andkhoy-Kabul transmission line will advance.
Furthermore, the two sides will hold separate meetings to discuss the legal and technical issues of the country’s electricity projects, after which the two sides will sign relevant agreements. The meeting was also attended by Turkmen Ambassador to Kabul Hoja Ovezov.
