RAWALPINDI, January 27: The University of Gujrat (UoG) and the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) Rawalpindi have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for establishing a mechanism for academic and research cooperation on Monday here at a ceremony in Rawalpindi.UoG Vice Chancellor Prof. DrShabbarAtiq and FJWU Vice Chancellor Prof DrSaima Hamid signed the agreement on behalf of their respective universities.
Director ORIC from University of Gujrat, Prof DrAudil Rashid and Focal Person Linkages Prof DrAzra Yasmin from FJWU were also present on the occasion. Academic and research cooperation will be carried out through development of joint research proposals and other academic activities such as sharing of published data and research resources. After signing the MoU, Prof DrShabbarAtiq and DrSaima Hamid expressed their hope that the institutes would mutually benefit from the agreement, saying it would go a long way in promoting the cause of higher education in the country. Highlighting further details of the activities vis-à-vis this MoU, Prof DrAudil Rashid and DrAzra Yasmin said that there is huge room available for both the varsities work jointly in pursing research projects, national and international courses, capacity building events and share their lab resources to support M.Phil and PhD research students. -PR
