ISLAMABAD, February 7: After the martyrdom of five Pakistan Army soldiers in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Co-chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and former president Asif Ali Zardari has said that the enemies of the Pakistani homeland should be treated as enemies.
In a statement, the former president condemned the attack on Pakistan Army soldiers in Kurram district and said that those who attacked the soldiers should be given a stern response.
Expressing sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers, Asif Ali Zardari said that the enemies of the homeland and the land should be treated as enemies.
He further added that whole of the country is proud of those brave sons who sacrificed their lives in crushing the ambitions of the enemies of the country.
Earlier on Feb 6, five soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in a terrorist attack that took place across the Pakistan – Afghanistan border in Kurram area on Sunday.
According to the ISPR, Pakistan Army soldiers who embraced martyrdom include Lance Naik Ajab Noor, Ziaullah, Naheed Iqbal, Sajid Ali and Sameerullah. The terrorists suffered heavy causalities in Pakistan Army s retaliation.
Pakistan has strongly condemned the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expects that interim Afghan Government will not allow such activities against Pakistan in future.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid on Sunday condemned the terrorist attack across Pak-Afghan border during which five soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom.
Expressing his grief on the death of soldiers, he said that the Taliban government must stop the terrorist activities across the border and should execute what it had promised.
Paying homage to the incredible services rendered by the Pakistan Army soldiers, he mentioned that the sacrificed blood of the national martyrs will not go in vain.-TLTP
