ISLAMABAD, February 7: Dr. Faisal Sultan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health, has said that the online issuance of drug license of retail pharmacy in Islamabad would improve transparency as well as time duration for renual of license. And also it Will improve the digitalization of health care sector.He expressed these views while speaking as the chief guest at the launching ceremony of online drug license organized by Pakistan Chemist and Druggist Association on Monday. He said that health is the most important sector in human life and society and all records related to medical profession will be digitilized and data of doctors and nurses will also be available online.
AsimRauf, CEO of Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, said that today’s initiative would pave the way for many future initiatives and help to further improve the health sector which is related to human life.
District Health Officer Islamabad Dr. Zaeem Zia said that the chemists of Islamabad have joined hands with us in launching the new system. Zafar Bakhtawari, Patron of Pakistan Chemists and Druggists Association, said that for the development and prosperity of Pakistan, there is a huge potential for increasing exports in the pharma industry and the Ministry of Health and Drug Regulatory Authority should play its full role in this regard.
He said that Pakistan and Islamabad have left the whole world behind in terms of vaccination and for this the Ministry of Health and Health Department of Islamabad deserves congratulations. He added that the role of the private sector in the Ministry of Health and Drug Regulatory Authority needs to be further expanded.
