The Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan received military equipment, the press service of the country’s Defense Ministry reported Friday. A ceremony of acceptance and transfer of military equipment from the Turkish Ministry of National Defense was held on the territory of military unit 10126 of the National Guard of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces. “The military goods handed over by the Turkish side include special equipment, vehicles, and other equipment,” the report says. During the event, First Deputy Defense Minister of Kyrgyzstan Taalaibek Usubaliev thanked Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Ahmet Sadik Dogan for the material and technical assistance provided to the Kyrgyz Armed Forces and assistance in training Kyrgyz military personnel at Turkish military educational institutions.
He also noted that the Kyrgyz side is ready to further expand bilateral contacts in existing and promising areas of cooperation.
The ceremony was attended by First Deputy Defense Minister Taalaibek Usubaliev, Turkish Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Ahmet Sadik Dogan, the command and staff of the National Guard of the Kyrgyz Armed Forces.
