President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Pakistan on 2-3 March. This was reported by Radio Pakistan with reference to the adviser to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on trade and investment, Abdul Razak Daoud. It is reported that Abdul Razak Daoud met with Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov in Pakistan.
Abdul Razak Daoud noted that the President of Uzbekistan will hold talks with the leadership of Pakistan and discuss issues of improving bilateral trade and economic relations. Uzbekistan and Pakistan are expected to sign bilateral agreements.
Pakistan Economic Net reports that Uzbekistan and Pakistan plan to finalize negotiations on a preferential trade agreement between the two countries. The document can be signed during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Pakistan. Sardor Umurzakov noted that flights between Tashkent and Lahore will begin to operate in March.
