PESHAWAR, February 24: Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangash said that Skills Development Programme has been launched for the youth in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, through which we are providing new employment opportunities to the youth of the merged districts. 5500 youth will be given internship opportunities to learn skills under a budget of 1399.5 million over a period of 3 years. These views were expressed by Provincial Minister for Higher Education Kamran Khan Bangash at a private hotel in Peshawar
Addressing the Skills Development Program for the youth of the merged districts. Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Industry and Commerce Abdul Karim Khan also graced the occasion as a Chief Guest.
Provincial Minister Kamran Khan Bangash said that skills will be taught to the youth.
He said that the first Women Swabi University was being set up in the amalgamated tribal districts so that the women of the tribal districts could also get education and move forward.
12 new colleges will be set up in the amalgamated tribal districts in this one year and similarly 35 new colleges will be set up across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this year and 50 new colleges will be set up in a year and a half in which more than fifty thousand male and female students will be educated.
He said that more employment and business opportunities will be provided to the youth. Pakistan is a country of youth and 68% of our population is under 30 years of age.
“Young people are the real catalyst for change in any society. We are focused on using their energies in a positive direction for the socio-economic development of our country,” he said.-PR
