NAVTTC imparts quality training under “PM’s Skill for All Programme” in Youth: Shafqat Mahmood

ISLAMABAD, February 27: The certificate distribution ceremony under Prime Minister’s Skill for All-Hunarmand Pakistan Program was held in University of the Punjab. Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training ShafqatMahmood was the chief guest. Chairman NAVTTC, Syed Javed Hassan, Vice Chancellor University of Punjab, Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar and Director General NAVTTC Punjab Mr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman welcomed the chief guest.
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training ShafqatMahmood appreciated the efforts of the NAVTTC to impart quality training in advanced and demand driven trades among youth under the Prime Minister’s HunarmandProgramme.
“The NAVTTC’s initiatives under the umbrella of the Prime Minister’s Hunarmand Pakistan Programme will not only change the TVET landscape in Pakistan by bringing it on par with international standards but also enhance the employability of our youth in the international market thus increasing the image of Pakistani skilled workers worldwide and giving huge boost in foreign remittances,” Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training said.
The minister appreciated the efforts of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and University of Punjab to impart high-tech training among youth in accordance with the vision of the government. The Minister interacted with youth while distributing certificates and they lauded the training facilities and the course modules.
Chairman NAVTTC, Syed Javed Hassan said that we are focused on imparting quality training to our youth which is the only way to guarantee maximum employability to our TVET graduates. Most trainees imparted training had already been recruited by high profile organizations even before their training concluded. “This is a testament to the success of the Prime Minister’s Skills for All Program, which aims to increase the number of country’s skilled workforce,” he added.
Vice Chancellor University of Punjab, Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar appreciated NAVTTC training programmes in Punjab University and emphasized the significance of skill training programs for youth.
The certificates in various categories including cyber security, internet of things, graphic designing, digital marketing etc. were distributed among the successful candidates.-PR
