ISLAMABAD, March 1: Minister for Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Dr. Riyad Al-Maliki in a meeting with the Minister of Human Rights of Pakistan d. ShireenMazari in Geneva on the sidelines of the meetings of the Human Rights Council.
Minister Al-Maliki valued the meeting the principled stances of Pakistan, as president, government and people, and its unconditional support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and its various initiatives in this regard. The Minister saw Dr. Al-Maliki and Minister Mazari on the situation in Palestine and the increasing and escalation of violations committed by the occupation against our people, specifically the forced displacement that targets the city of Jerusalem in particular, the settler colonization of our land in all regions, as well as the suffocating and unjust siege of our people in the Gaza Strip.
Minister Al-Maliki touched on the need to work to expand the scope of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in international organizations to transfer the occupation responsibilities for these violations, in addition to the important and joint effort at the level of the United Nations and international organizations, as well as expanding joint cooperation to include all sectors, including health, education and culture. – PR
