PESHAWAR, March 9: Amid at taxpayers’ facilitation and building tax culture in the province, a weeklong registration drive of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) continued for the second consecutive day in Dera Ismail Khan providing on-the-spot registration to unregistered taxpayers associated with services sector.
With the financial assistance of USAID-KPRM, the KPRA team set up its registration camp at La Cuisine Restaurant Dera Ismail Khan where taxpayers were provided information regarding sales tax on services and on-the-spot registration was provided to dozens of people who reached the camp.
Three teams of KPRA including inspectors and facilitation officers visited business premises of potential taxpayers for awareness and providing them instant registration at their doorstep. KPRA Deputy Collector Registration Mr. Nawab Ali thanked USAID-KPRM for supporting KPRA in successfully conducting the registration drive. “We are thankful to the people of Dera Ismail Khan for their warm welcome to the teams of KPRA and to their contribution in the uplift and prosperity of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan,” he said.
The registration drive will continue until Friday evening and on Thursday and Friday the KPRA registration team will set-up Mobile Registration Camps in Kohat, while, the field team will visit each and every market and business centre of the city to create awareness regarding sales tax on services in the people and provide registration to unregistered business owners associated with service sector. -PR
