Pakistan has started supplying meat to Uzbekistan. It was reported by Startup Pakistan. The first shipment of meat (18 tons) worth US$40,000 will arrive in Tashkent next week.
The publication notes that another 50 containers of meat are expected to be sent in March. The total cargo will be 900 tons.
The head of the Pakistani company Shaheen, Malik Sher Khan, notes that Pakistan began to look closely at the Uzbek market after the conclusion of agreements on preferential trade.
The preferential trade agreement was signed on 4 March 2022 during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pakistan.
