727384-NawazSharifAFP-1403784648-653-640x480ISLAMABAD, March 20: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has approved “Strategic Trade Policy Framework 2015-18” with focus on enhancing the country’s exports.
All stakeholders in the public and private sectors, including Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, district chambers, trade associations, private businesses, academia, think tanks, trade missions, Ministries/Divisions and other government agencies have been actively engaged in formulation of the policy framework.
A “Trade Committee” headed by Federal Minister for Commerce has been established to monitor the implementation of policy framework.
The committee will remove bottlenecks, examine issues relating to trade promotion and presenting annual implementation report to the Cabinet.-SABAH
