MUZAFFARABAD, March 23: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry has said that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should play its role to stop continued bloodshed and human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
While addressing the 48th Session of the OIC Foreign Ministers at Parliament House Islamabad on Wednesday, he said that the Muslim body should also use its political and diplomatic clout to reverse the illegal and unilateral actions Indian government had taken in Kashmir since 5th August 2019.
According to statement issued here by his office, Sultan urged that there was a dire need to pressurize India to allow the UN representatives to visit the Occupied territory and investigate the massacre that has taken place as a result of Indian barbarism in the region.
He said that the implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir was the only way forward to settle the long standing dispute peacefully. He thanked the OIC secretary general Hussain Ibrahim Taha, for sending his special envoy to review the situation in the liberated territory (AJK). -DNA
