ISLAMABAD, April 3: Islamabad police during massive crackdown against criminals arrested 11 outlaws, a police spokesman said. According to the details, SSP Investigation assigned special task to the AVLC team to arrest those involved in car lifting and to recover the stolen vehicles.
Following the directions, Incharge AVLC Inspector Liaqat Ali along with other officialsarrestwd two car lifters identified as Wirasat and Mohsinali. Police team also recovered 08 vehicles.
The accused used to steal Mehran, Corola and down model vehicles from different areas of the city. The vehicles were recovered from KPK and Punjab. Further Investigation is underway.
Furthermore, SP SaddarTassawar Iqbal constituted special police teams in the area to arrest the criminal involved in street crime and looting people at gunpoint. One of the Tarnol police team headed by SHO Tarnol Iqbal Gujjar and other police officials arrested three accused of a snatchers gang. Police ream also recovered mobile phones, cash and weapons along with ammunition.
The accused have confessed more than 15 snatching incidents in the area while further Investigation is underway. -DNA
