Pakistan offers liberal investment regime: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD, December 29: Federal Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday said that the government offers a liberal investment regime and wants its friend countries to come and invest in Pakistan in various sectors.
Javaid Malik, Ambassador designate to Bahrain, called on the Federal Minister for Finance Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar this morning at the Finance Division.
The Minister congratulated Javaid Malik on his appointment as Ambassador to Bahrain. The Minister asked him to convey his best wishes to the Ameer of Bahrain. He also said that the Ministry of Finance will provide all possible assistance to the Pakistani Mission for facilitating its work.
Javaid Malik told the Minister that he plans to strengthen the trade and investment relationship with Bahrain. He also briefed the Minister that government of Bahrain is also planning to establish a hospital in Pakistan and the modalities to run the hospital are under discussion.
The Minister also said that he wants the Pakistani officials abroad to work on establishing contacts between the businessmen of both sides as the private sector uses the available resources with maximum efficiency. Javaid Malik told the Minister that he will be assuming his responsibilities next month.
