ISLAMABAD, March 6: 2022 Speaker National Assembly AsadQaiser has written letters to the Prime Minister and the Leader of Opposition of the outgoing National Assembly for seeking names to constitute an eight member Committee under Article 224 -A (1) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan for appointment of the Caretaker Prime Minister.
In separate letters addresses to both Mr. Imran Khan Prime Minister and Mr.Shahnaz Sharif Leader of the Opposition , Speaker National Assembly AsadQaiser sought four nominees to a committee comprising Eight members of the outgoing National Assembly , or Senate or both. The Committee would have equal representation from both the Treasury and the Opposition benches. The Committee would discuss and finalise a name out of two names forwarded to the Committee by the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition to be appointed as Caretaker Prime Minister.-PR
