ISLAMABAD, April 8: The joint opposition in National Assembly Friday submitted a no-confidence motion against National Assembly’s deputy speaker Qasim Suri as well. Earlier, the opposition had already submitted no-confidence motions against NA Speaker Asad Qaiser and Prime Minister Imran Khan while voting on a no-confidence motion against PM Khan is slated to be held tomorrow (Saturday) as per the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s order. Opposition leader Murtaza Javed Abbasi submitted the no-confidence motion against Qasim Suri. The opposition said that Suri has set a bad precedent by deviating from the constitution and the same has been proved during the suo moto notice of the Supreme Court. Earlier, the joint opposition filed a no-confidence motion against the KP Chief Minister. Whereas, Punjab CM Usman Buzdar has already resigned after a no-trust motion was filed against him while Punjab’s speaker and deputy speaker are also facing the no-trust moves. It is pertinent to note that PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had announced that the joint opposition will file no-confidence motion in KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK to totally uproot PTI-led governments in the country. -NNI
