BEIJING, April 11: China has said that political changes in Pakistan will not affect relations between the two countries.
Talking to media in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lijian Xiao said that China would maintain friendly policy with Pakistan.
“We hope that all parties in Pakistan will remain united and safeguard their overall national stability and development,” he said.
It may be recalled that Shahbaz Sharif was sworn in as the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan. Acting President Sadiq Sanjarani administered the oath to him.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on his election as Prime Minister.-TLTP
