In a recent virtual meeting with Indian prime Minister, President Joe Biden has categorically told him not to buy Russian oil or gas and that Washington will make alternative arrangements under which New Delhi will be able to buy oil and gas from other countries.
There is no gainsaying the fact that whenever America wants to destroy any country it tries to first weaken it economically by imposing various types of economic sanctions against it directly or indirectly Russia is one of those countries which Washington wants to crush politically as well as economically.It wants to isolate Moscow. The other country on its hit list is China. Though a spokesman of the White House has said that Washington believes in strong ties with Pakistan’s leadership,insiders say that Americans would never tolerate close ties of Islamabad with Beijing and would try to create misunderstanding between Pakistan and China in order to upset the applecart of CPEC In the same manner they would never like close ties of Pakistan with Russia.Isn’t it a fact that in the past our blind allegiance to Washington in America’s cold war against the then Soviet union caused us more harm than good Let us hope that the new leadership in Islamabad will not dance to the tune of Washington and would never be a party to any conspiracy of America aimed against the interestsof Beijing and Moscow, our two big neighbours with whom we must keep cordial relations.
