President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov received Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov.
The head of state confirmed that Uzbekistan is a very important foreign policy and strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan. The two fraternal peoples are bound by centuries-old ties of friendship and good neighborliness, a common history, closeness of cultures, traditions, language and spiritual values.
In this regard, Sadyr Zhaparov spoke for comprehensive development of interstate relations and multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan.
The head of state, noting with satisfaction the return visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the end of May this year, expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz-Uzbek talks at the highest level would bring relations between the fraternal countries to the next qualitative stage of development in all areas of mutual cooperation.
At the same time, President Sadyr Zhaparov welcomed the opening of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and wished that its activities would support the expansion of trade and investment ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov informed the Head of State that he had arrived in Bishkek on behalf of the president of the country in order to prepare his return visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Sardor Umurzakov confirmed his readiness and interest in the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations and cooperation in the spirit of good neighborliness, trust and strategic partnership.
He also noted that the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund will open up new opportunities for enhancing trade and economic cooperation between the two fraternal states.
