MIRANSHAH, April 21: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured the tribal elders that his government will do all to bring comfort in local populace and ensure socio economic development as dividends of the fight against terrorism.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met tribal elders during his visit to North Waziristan on Thursday and spent time with them.
Tribal elders welcomed the prime minister and thanked him for his first visit to the area which spoke of his focus and concern for tribal districts. The prime minister thanked tribal elders for their all out support in war against terrorism for a peaceful and stable Pakistan.
“The people of tribal districts have rendered great sacrifices and we owe them a lot. We will not let their sacrifices go to waste. Our priority will be to ensure civic facilities for the local community at par with the rest of Pakistan,” he added.
Tribal elders assured the Prime Minister of their complete support for peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
Separately, Prime Minister Sharif has said that the government will ensure mainstreaming Baloch youth through focused development in Balochistan. He was talking to Balochistan National Party Chairman Sardar Akhtar Mengal who called on him on Thursday. They discussed the current political situation of the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif said Balochistan is not just rich in natural resources but its human resource is also a valuable asset for the country.
Sardar Akhtar Mengal welcomed the government’s policy of prioritising the development of Balochistan. A delegation of Balochistan Awami Party called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad Thursday. They discussed the current political situation in the country.
The delegation which included Jam Kamal Khan, Khalid Hussain Magsi, Senator Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, Senator Anwar ul Haq, Samina Mumtaz and others welcomed the government’s policy of prioritizing development of Balochistan.
A delegation of Awami National Party called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad Thursday. The delegation comprises Member National Assembly Amir Haider Khan Hoti, Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour and Aimal Asfandyar.
They congratulated Shehbaz Sharif on assuming office of the prime minister. The meeting also discussed the current political situation in the country. Separately, the prime minister has emphasised the need for provision of economic relief to the people. He was talking to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah who called on him on Thursday. The prime minister said the relief package given during Ramazan should be implemented. -TLTP
